Relationship status: Married

Interests/Activities:  when I have the time I like reading, taking classes, spending time outdoors, coffee, beach, yoga, pilates, spinning, family days, eating out, traveling.
Employment status: Marketing Coordinator at Fisher-Price

Parenting style: I can be a bit of a control freak, I must admit, but I do like to play and pretend with my son-there are a lot of laughs in our house. I am working on being a more relaxed  mom (it is VERY hard sometimes for me).  Benjamin has a loving environment at home with a lot of hugs and kisses. We do discipline and we are firm when it is needed, but we talk about our issues together when everyone has calmed down. We keep our toys to a minimum and we venture outside for observation, play and learning experiences. I love taking him places and seeing his excitement. If I had the financial freedom and I had a Tardis that would take us anywhere, I would love to travel with him!

Birth experience: My son was born at 37 weeks via C-Section. He was breech and could not be turned.

Infant feeding method: Breastfed for the first month until it became unbearably painful, exclusively pumped until 7 months old, and then switched to formula.

Sleep philosophy/training: We had to resort to CIO when Benjamin was 7 months. He would wake up but not eat, just want to be awake. Took 3 days and he has slept 10 hours a night since. He is a very deep sleeper.

Childcare: Daycare 5 days a week.

Where I live: Queens, NY

Favorite kid activities: reading books together, building tracks, tunnels, and skyscrapers, playing in dirt, trains, Central Park, museums, visiting transit museum/store, children's zoo, aquarium, riding the subway, watching trucks, trains, and buses, going to the beach, soccer, volunteering at our local park, walking around the neighborhood, playground, getting ice cream, cooking together..oh and did I mention trains?
